Company Description

Knoco International is a global consulting firm specializing in Knowledge Management, continuing the legacy of Knoco Ltd., established in 1999. The firm delivers practical, proven methods that help organizations turn critical know-how into measurable operational and strategic advantage. Services include KM certification training, KM assessments, KM strategy and governance, knowledge retention and transfer programs, and ISO 30401 aligned KM systems design and implementation. Knoco’s Global Affiliate Network provides local expertise, backed by consistent methodology, shared values, and a focus on real-world adoption.

Role Overview

As a Knowledge Management Affiliate, you will serve as a senior consulting partner who leads KM engagements in your region and supports clients through assessment, strategy, design, implementation, and sustainment. You will be trusted to advise executives, enable practitioners, and deliver practical outcomes that improve decision-making, speed onboarding, reduce rework, and retain mission-critical expertise.

This role is ideal for a seasoned KM practitioner who can operate independently, win and deliver work, and represent Knoco International with credibility and professionalism.

What You Will Do

Client Delivery and Advisory

  • Lead KM assessments, discovery interviews, and maturity diagnostics across teams and business units.
  • Design and implement KM strategies, operating models, governance, and measurement approaches aligned to business outcomes.
  • Build practical KM frameworks and playbooks that clients can sustain, including roles, workflows, standards, and adoption plans.
  • Advise leaders on knowledge risk, continuity, and retention strategies, especially for turnover, succession, and mission-critical roles.

Knowledge Retention and Knowledge Sharing

  • Design and facilitate knowledge transfer approaches such as structured interviews, peer assists, after-action reviews, and knowledge capture workshops.
  • Establish and strengthen Communities of Practice, knowledge networks, and knowledge-sharing routines integrated into business cadence.
  • Document best practices, reusable assets, and decision logic so knowledge is findable, usable, and maintained over time.

Implementation and Enablement

  • Translate strategy into execution through pilot plans, change management, training, and enablement for sustained adoption.
  • Deliver KM training sessions, workshops, and briefings for both leaders and practitioners.
  • Support ISO 30401 aligned KM system development and implementation when appropriate for client needs.

Affiliate Network Contribution

  • Collaborate with other Affiliates to share lessons learned, improve methods, and contribute to reusable Knoco assets.
  • Represent Knoco International professionally in client engagements, events, and business development activities.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience delivering Knowledge Management, knowledge retention, organizational learning, or information and knowledge governance work in complex organizations.
  • Master’s degree required in Knowledge Management, Information Science, Organizational Learning, Business, Public Administration, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead client-facing work, including discovery, analysis, stakeholder facilitation, and delivery of executive-ready outputs.
  • Strong communication skills across written deliverables, live facilitation, and executive-level briefings.
  • Practical experience translating KM concepts into operational routines, governance, and measurable outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing or aligning KM programs to ISO 30401 standard.
  • Experience in one or more of these sectors: defense, healthcare, energy, manufacturing, telecom, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with enabling KM through modern platforms (SharePoint, M365, Confluence, ServiceNow, and similar ecosystems).
  • Experience supporting AI readiness through knowledge quality, structure, metadata, authoritative sources, and traceability.
  • Professional certifications (KM, change management, facilitation, project management, analytics) are valued.

What Success Looks Like

  • Clients adopt KM routines that persist beyond the engagement and directly support mission and business outcomes.
  • Knowledge retention improves, onboarding time decreases, and teams reuse proven practices rather than rebuilding from scratch.
  • Leaders gain confidence that critical knowledge domains have ownership, lifecycle discipline, and measurable performance.
